After visiting the Scotland National Museum, we walked back to our school and saw a street singer singing a very joyous song. It attracted everyone's attentions. Even the weather was not very sunny but the song was very impressive to me. I realized that Scotland's life style was quite slow when comparing to Hong Kong life. I love it!!!!

Yesterday we visit the Edinburgh castle. it is a very famous place in Edinburgh and attracts a lot of visitors from all over the world. The building is very tall and imposing. We can't stop our hands with our cameras. That's a wonderful experience to me!

We took photos with the local people and the kid is very cute. We are in the castle and the design is different from the buildings in Hong Kong.Although it was cold today, we felt comfortable and we all enjoyed it. When we stood there, we could see how different the buildings are.  The feeling is so different from Hong Kong.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving Halloween is coming soon.It is a tradition to make a jack-o'-lantern. It was the first time we carved the pumpkins. It was so interesting! It was not easy to carve the pumpkins as they are quite hard and rough. We had a great time carving the pumpkin! Amelie made her own pumpkin too. We carved FIVE in the end! We succeeded! YEAH! Amelie carved a funny one! We played with our pumpkins all the night! A delicious dinner after all the hard work! We are ready for Halloween!

Halloween preperation

The skin of the pumpkin was quite thick. I had to remove all the stuff in it, which took me quite long! It took me 2 hours to finish the entire project!

Kick Off @ 28 Oct 2017

visit of the Royal Yacht Britannia and hiking Arthurs seat

Image
Trip to The Royal Yacht Britannia The Britannia took the royal family around the world in 1954-1997. It has been to many places of the world.   The ship is also one of the queen's working place. It's designed very well and you won't feel like you are on a ship. A lot of celebrities were invited on board, including president Clinton and Gandhi.  However, the 200 crew members live in poor conditions which is a great contrast comparing to the royal family. Nowadays, it is a museum and it exhibits some wonderful treasures. The Britannia was an amazing ship and we had a good time.  After that, we went hiking in Arthurs seat. Although we didn't hike to the top, we were still able to see beautiful sceneries of Edinburg.  It's very different from Hong Kong as there are no sky scrapers at all. That's why the castle and houses can be seen clearly. .

28/10 4:00pm -HongKong airport  We left Hong Kong airport and we’re going to Abu Dhabi airport for transferring to Edinburgh. It was a long flight and it was VERY tiring and boring. But I'm glad that i knew some new friends from different school.  29/10 6:00 -Edinburgh airport  After such a long flight, we finally arrived to Edinburgh. We met our host family in James Gillespie High School. For my family, we’ve made halloween pumpkin and decorations for halloween. It was great and its my first time making a halloween pumpkin by my self. Also, we watched movie together and had a fun day.
